Help Us Keep Denver’s Urban Forest Growing Strong
At DLC Landscape & Arbor, our mission has always been simple: protect trees, support healthy landscapes, and keep our communities safe. Most people know us for pruning, removals, and preventative care—but there’s another side of our work that’s just as important:
We plant trees. And lots of them.
Every year across the Denver metro area, hundreds of trees are removed—sometimes because of age, storm damage, construction, or disease. More recently, the arrival of emerald ash borer (EAB) has accelerated that need, resulting in the loss of thousands of ash trees across Colorado neighborhoods.
While removals are sometimes unavoidable, we believe stewardship doesn’t stop there. If a tree must come down, our goal is to help plant another in its place.
Our Commitment to Replanting
Trees are more than landscape features—they’re infrastructure.
They improve air quality. They reduce heat. They provide wildlife habitat. They make streets quieter, parks more welcoming, and homes more comfortable.
That’s why we’ve made it part of our company mission to help rebuild the urban canopy by planting as many trees as we remove. It’s one way we can give back to the neighborhoods we work in and help ensure the health of Denver’s environment for the next generation.
Choosing the Right Tree for Your Space
Not every tree thrives in Colorado’s high-altitude, dry climate—and species matter more now than ever. Our arborists take into consideration:
Sun exposure
Soil conditions
Water availability
Mature height and canopy spread
Proximity to structures, sidewalks, or utilities
Whether your goal is to create shade, increase privacy, add seasonal color, or replace a lost ash tree, we’ll help you choose a species that will thrive—not just survive.
What’s Included in Our Tree Planting Service
When we plant a tree, we set it up for success long past the day it's in the ground. Our service includes:
🌱 Species guidance from certified professionals: We recommend climate-adapted, pest-resistant trees suited to your property and long-term goals.
🌱 Professional installation and proper mulching: Correct planting depth and soil preparation are key to long-term health—especially in Denver’s clay-heavy soils.
🌱 Optional winter deep root watering: Cold seasons are hard on young trees. Deep watering helps prevent stress and root dieback.
🌱 Optional annual fertilization: A nutrient boost supports growth, stronger root systems, and faster establishment.
From day one, your new tree has everything it needs to grow strong and healthy.
